What an aquabike is

An aquabike is a triathlon without the run: an open-water swim straight into the bike, with a single transition in between — and you finish on two wheels. Instead of racking the bike and running, you cross the line on your bike.

It’s offered at a range of distances, most commonly Sprint and Olympic, and usually shares a venue and course with a triathlon the same day. For swimmers and cyclists — or anyone racing around a running injury — it’s a way into multisport without the run.

Sprint
750m · 20K

Best starting point. The swim and bike of a sprint tri, no run.

Olympic
1.5km · 40K

Double the sprint. The common next step once you want more distance.
