Pump, Run or Walk to Back the Blue. 5K Pump and Run a participant's score will be based on a combination of how many times he/she can bench press a % of their weight (see weight charts posted on the Facebook page for this event) & 5K race time. Pump and Run athletes can weigh in and lift between 8:00 am and 8:45 am on race day. Race to start shortly after.
To calculate the score, an athlete will reduce their 5K run time by 30 seconds for each successful lift (maximum 30 reps for a maximum of 15-minute reduction. Participants may also just run or walk in the 5k portion of the event. The top male and female participants in each age category will receive a medal. There will be a traveling trophy for top Law Enforcement Official.
