Upcoming Obstacle Course Races in Rhode Island

Obstacle course races (OCR) combine running over varied terrain with a series of physical obstacles — walls, rope climbs, monkey bars, carries, and crawls. Courses range from a 5K with under 20 obstacles up through 10Ks, half-marathons, and beyond, depending on the organizer and race series.

The barrier to entry is lower than it looks. Most events run open heats designed so beginners can finish — with help on the obstacles when they need it, and strangers often boosting each other over the walls.
