Wild Turkey Trot 3K
Kick off your Thanksgiving with the Wild Turkey Trot 3K, a fun, family-friendly race for runners and walkers of all ages!
Participants will enjoy a unique course through the Zoo, passing animal habitats and native Florida plants along the way. Whether you’re an experienced runner or looking for a fun way to get active with the family, this race is the perfect way to celebrate the season.
Race Details
Date: November 26, 2026
Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
The course has a one-hour time limit, beginning when each participant starts the race. Participants who do not complete the course within their designated time may be escorted off the course.
Water and Gatorade will be available along the route and at the start/finish area.
Awards & Swag
Prizes will be awarded to:
Top 10 overall male finishers
Top 10 overall female finishers
Top 10 male finishers in the 11-and-under division
Top 10 female finishers in the 11-and-under division
All finishers will receive a beautiful turkey-themed medal and commemorative running hat!
Race shirts will also be available for purchase for $20 each when registering online prior to the event. Once online shirt sales close, we will have a limited supply available at packet pickup for sale. They will be first come, first served and will be selling for $25 each.
Packet Pickup
A pre-race packet will be emailed approximately one week before the event and will include everything you need to know about packet pickup and race morning.
There will be three in-person packet pickup opportunities for athletes to choose from. Dates, times, and locations will be provided in the pre-race packet.
Registration
Online registration closes Sunday, November 22nd at 11:00 a.m.
This race has limited entries and is expected to sell out, so register today to secure your spot!

Virtual Event Instructions
If you are registered for the virtual run, everything is done electronically, you do not need to come to packet pickup or race day.
Please submit the following information to smoothrunningorg@gmail.com. Once we receive the required information, your packet will be mailed to you.
First Name, Last Name, Mailing Address, Proof of Distance.
*All of our medals are finisher medals. We will not mail any packets out until we receive proof that the distance was completed.
