The 3nd Annual Wellington Ruck March and Food Drive is a family friendly three loop for 5K Ruck March & a 2K Loop through Wellington’s Village Park. This event hosts ruck marchers of all fitness levels. Strollers are welcome too! Pets are not permitted within Village Park. The race will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Start Time is 8:30 a.m.
As there will be ruckers with varied levels of speed, any passing of slower participants should be completed on the adjacent LEFT grass areas to the asphalt path.
Each Rucker should carry a backpack with a minimum of 10 lbs of non-perishable food in their own weighted ruck vest. However, this is a food drive so please bring at least 10 lbs of food to be donated to the Village of Wellington's Annual Food Drive, Additionally, local community members are encouraged to donate food items at the drive-by annual food drive station.
Local business and other groups can participate in a 4 person TEAM ruck event where the combined individual participant times will be combined and ranked accordingly for awards. Each team rucker will carry a backpack with non-perishable food to be donated to the Village of Wellington's annual food drive or weighted ruck vest.
The race events will be chip timed and tabulated as the participants cross under the designated Finish Arch, and winners will be announced before the closing celebration. Finisher medals for all finishers will be provided. Individual and times can be accessed by participant number using a QR code at the race site.
