Wellington Ruck March & Food Drive is a rucking race on November 8, 2026 in Wellington, FL, with entry fees from $25 to $500.
From the Organizer
The 2nd Annual Wellington Ruck March and Food Drive is a family friendly three loop for 5K Ruck March through Wellington’s Village Park. This event hosts ruck marchers of all fitness levels. Strollers are welcome too! Pets are not permitted within Village park. The Sunday, November 9, 2025 event starts at 9:00 am.
As there will be ruckers with varied levels of speed, any passing of slower participants should be completed on the adjacent LEFT grass areas to the asphalt path.
Based on registration numbers Ruckers may be assigned a designated wave start based on distance, gender and/or. Wave starts (if required) will be announced the week prior to the race. If race day registration is still available on race day, any unregistered participants will need to arrive early to insure they can be registered and placed in their appropriate wave prior to the start of the race.
Individual registration fee will be $30 per Rucker participant and each Rucker will carry a backpack with a minimum of 10 lbs of non-perishable food or their own weighted ruck vest. However, this is a food drive so please bring at least 10 lbs of food to be donated to the Village of Wellington's Annual Food Drive at the end of their event, where a medallion will be awarded. Additionally, local community members are encouraged to donate food items at the drive-by Annual Food Drive Station.
Local business and other groups will also be participating in 4 person TEAM ruck events where the combined individual participant times will be combined and ranked accordingly for awards. Each team rucker will carry a backpack with non-perishable food to be donated to the Village of Wellington's Annual Food Drive or weighted ruck vest.
The race events will be chip timed and tabulated as the participants cross under the designated Finish Arch, and winners will be announced before the closing celebration. When the participants check in at the registration area, they will be given a numbered race bib to be worn on the front, and the bibs will already have the timing chips already inserted. Individual times can be accessed by each participant number scanning a results QR code at the race site.

Rucking is covering ground on foot under a weighted pack — borrowed from the military and turned into everything from timed solo challenges to long team events. Simple to start, deceptively hard to finish.
It rewards steady effort and mental grit over speed, and the community side — moving together under load — is a big part of the draw.
