Join us Saturday morning at the corner of Main Street and Water Street (by DG) for the 18th annual Watermelon Days 5K Run/Walk. Run or walk through this road race that takes you to a paved trail that leads to the Big Rock Golf Course and back into downtown Fayette for the finish on Main Street. Register by August 21st for a guaranteed t-shirt! T-shirts are not guaranteed after the 21st. Registration is $20 and goes up to $30 on race day, September 12th.
Awards and raffle prizes at the finish. Then head over to the Methodist Church at 207 Clark Street for Dad's Belgian Waffles happening until10:30 AM . This is a great fundraiser for the Fayette Ambulance Service.
Stay for the Watermelon Day Parade at 11am and a day of festivities downtown. Bring your children to the stage area at 11:45 am for the kids dash (1-10 years old) races for tots and children following the parade on Main Street. Finisher ribbons.
