RUCK FOR THE RIBBON 5K is a rucking race on October 24, 2026 in Plant City, FL, with entry fees from $20 to $27.
From the Organizer
Ruck for the Ribbon 5K is a 3.1-mile in-person and virtual ruck/walk created to raise breast cancer awareness and support Sisters Network Tampa Bay.
Participants are required to carry a backpack or rucksack; added weight is optional. The ruck symbolizes the physical, emotional, and financial weight carried by breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families.
This event is about more than completing 3.1 miles. It’s about carrying the weight together, honoring survivors, remembering those we’ve lost, and supporting those still fighting.
All registered 5K ruckers/walkers will receive a finisher medal. Registration fees help cover medals and other event expenses, while donations are separate and directly support Sisters Network Tampa Bay.
Carry the weight. Support the fight.

Rucking is covering ground on foot under a weighted pack — borrowed from the military and turned into everything from timed solo challenges to long team events. Simple to start, deceptively hard to finish.
It rewards steady effort and mental grit over speed, and the community side — moving together under load — is a big part of the draw.
