“Freedom, fitness, and fun await. Grab your red, white, and running shoes and let's make sparks fly. A flat, fast, all-paved 5K at 6:30 in the evening, starting right at the Bridgeway Station entrance and storming up and over the iconic Bridgeway Station Bridge before running through Holland Park and the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
This is a summer evening race, which changes everything about how it feels. The heat has come off the pavement, the light is going gold, and by the time you finish, the whole of Bridgeway Station is turning into a party. Directional arrows mark every turn, and off-duty officers hold the course, which is why the 60-minute limit is firm rather than a formality — the roads have to reopen.
Afterward: a cold brew from Bridgeway Brewing Company, The City Market with several food vendors, and all-American tunes under the stars. DJ Uncle Sam himself might even make an appearance. Every finisher gets a patriotic medal and a custom red-white-and-blue race bib, and your entry supports local nonprofits through the Giving Series.
