Bring in the New Year with a few loose rocks

  “

Set your own pace into 2027. Three hours, six hours, or nine — you pick the window, then run or walk as many laps of the two-mile loop as you want, can, or dare. For each lap you complete, drop a rock into your mug as a symbol of your progress and determination. Some people come for one lap and a coffee. Some people are still out there when the light goes flat in the afternoon. Both are the right answer.

There is no finish line waiting to tell you when you are done here. You choose your own distance by choosing your own time, and the only question the clock asks is how much of it you want to spend moving. That makes this the rare race where a first-time walker and a seasoned ultrarunner can start together at 9:00 AM, share the same two-mile loop all day, and both end the day having done exactly what they came to do.

It is also a holiday send-off. Bring a leftover dish from the past season that needs to be eaten, and bring a container to take somebody else's home in — the Holiday Leftover Banquet is a real part of the day, not a joke on the flyer. There is music, a post-race hangout, and complimentary race photos, and your entry supports local nonprofits through the Giving Series.

Course

A scenic two-mile loop through Bridgeway Station, run as many times as your chosen window allows. The loop returns you past the start and past your car every couple of miles, which is what makes the format work — you are never more than a mile from your gear, your snacks, or a decision to call it a day. Lap counting is on us; the rocks are on you.

Parking

Bridgeway Station has ample parking right adjacent to the course, and it is free. Park as close to the facility as you can if you are going to use your car as your pit stop area — on a timed loop event, a well-stocked trunk is worth more than a well-stocked drop bag.

Aid Stations

One aid station on the two-mile loop, adjacent to the driveway entry and exit at Bridgeway Station — you will pass it every lap.

Available snacks:

Pickles Cookies Chips Assorted candy Fig Newtons Pretzels Holiday leftovers

Hydration:

Water Coke Ginger ale

Cup-less event — please bring your own hydration vessel.
