From the Organizer
The fourth-annual Livin' for Lynnie walk will be happening on August 22 beginning at 10 AM at the Eastside Shelter House (Swan Lake State Park). Join us in remembering and honoring Lynne Dvorak, as well as commemorating all those who have lived with and been impacted by ALS.
In the past three years, team Livin' for Lynnie has raised over $45,000 for the ALS Association Iowa Chapter thanks to our incredible community and everyone who loved Lynne. All profits from the Livin' for Lynnie ALS Walk are donated to the ALS Association Iowa Chapter.
The walk will begin at 10:00 AM, with more celebration to follow! If you choose to not walk, the East Side Shelter House will be open and is air conditioned.
After walking the lake, stick around and enjoy lunch from Forky's Food Truck, with a portion of all sales being donated to Livin' for Lynnie. Baked goods and lemonade will also be for sale all afternoon at the Official Livin' For Lynnie lemonade stand, hosted by many of Lynne's great nieces.
We encourage you to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and coolers to hang out for a while! We will have yard games set up, as well as a Corn Hole tournament starting at 12:30.
This year, we will also be adding a Silent Auction inside the shelter house.
Thank you for your support of Team Livin' for Lynnie and the ALS Association Iowa Chapter!
