From the Organizer
Get ready to lace up your running shoes- and your costumes!- for a hauntingly good time at the Green Lake Area Animal Shelters second annual 5K, a community event dedicated to making a measurable difference in the lives of all the animals in need at the shelter! This Day of the Dead themed run/walk invites participants of all ages and fitness levels (pups included!) to come together for a great cause! Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a walk with your friends (and pup!), every step you take helps make a difference! So come on down and celebrate in the memory of all our lost paws!
This event will include many vendors, a brat fry, face painting, and more! Dogs are encouraged to come and participate (if they want), as there will be some fun contests (best kisser, best trick, best costume, etc.) Prizes will be given to top pups, with participation prizes to all dogs!
Exciting news: This year the 1 mile and 5k will be timed!
Vendor list will be updated!
Vendors will be available starting at 1p, including the brat fry!
Lil' Goblins kids 1 mile race begins at 2:15p. With prizes for the top three finishers!
The Great Pup'kin 5k will begin at 3p. Also with prizes for the top finishers.
Same day registration will be available, as well as shirts and hats for purchase.
As it was last year, the bike trail will be our running route.
All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, ensuring that we can continue to enhance the lives of animals and people through adoption and education, and assisting all of the stray and surrendered pets in Green Lake County.
