For 25 years, the Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K has brought together runners, families, businesses, and supporters from across the Valley to kick off Thanksgiving with community, tradition and giving back.
More than just a race, the Commodore Hull 5K is a major fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley, helping provide safe, positive, and enriching programs and opportunities for local youth.
In 2026, we’re celebrating 25 years—and we want you to be part of it.
The Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race kicks off at 8:00 AM in downtown Shelton, winds through Derby, and loops back to Shelton. This race is presented by Greco & Haines. Secure your spot and run for a cause—proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
With a scenic course through two historic downtowns—and plenty of time to make it home for your holiday celebrations—it’s the perfect way to start Thanksgiving morning.
