Walk in memory or honor of your loved one...
The legacy of loved ones - including family, friends, and even pets - can remain alive with those on earth who wish to remember them. Our Walk to Remember was created as an outlet for those who wish to remember a loved one the opportunity to do so. This walk is held at the beginning of November to coincide with other dates of remembrance as well as the beginning of the holiday season.
Those who wish to participate can do so in small or large groups or individually. Participants can walk with private intentions or with public recognition through a banner, pictures and/or t-shirts. Regardless of how people choose to participate, all will be surrounded by others who understand grief (or the grieving process) and wish to honor those who have gone before them.
Beyond the Pappus was formed with the initial mission of granting wishes to children/youth, ages 3 - 18 years of age, who have experienced the death of an immediate family member. Our foundation values the importance of remembrance and a community of support after a loss, while our vision is to be a leading provider for healing. Our Walk to Remember was created with these goals in mind.
Our Walk to Remember is a unique opportunity to visit Verona Park with others who are gathering for the similar intentions of:
- Remembering and honoring loved ones who are missed.
- Supporting children/youth who are actively grieving the loss of an immediate family member.
- Join a community who honors the circle of life.
This uplifting event will include...DJ, crafts, coffee and snacks, and environmentally friendly balloon release in remembrance of your loved one.
