From the Organizer
The Zion Ultras run across high-desert mesas, linking long stretches of singletrack, slickrock, and exposed desert trails. The courses are demanding, and the terrain ever-changing. Runners will experience long, sustained climbs, narrow rim sections, and sections with technical footing that will test mental fortitude. But what makes this race special is how nonstop the views are.
Starting and finishing from basecamp at Smithsonian Butte, the experience feels remote, expansive, and immersive from the very first step. You’re moving through wide-open mesas with huge sightlines to Zion’s sandstone walls. West Temple. The Watchman. And the Virgin River far below. It will keep hitting you over and over: I get to run here? If you love a course that keeps you guessing while offering nonstop natural beauty, this one will stick with you.

Charity bibs for all distances have the option to support one of our nonprofit partners or a charity of your choice. Once you have hit 50% of your fundraising minimum, you will be sent a code to register for the race (free entry).
Please take this seriously because we have limited charity bibs available for this event and once we are full, you will be committed to raising the minimum amount or paying your fundraising difference two weeks before the event.
When you sign up for a Charity Bib and commit to being a fundraiser for the Zion Ultras, it means you're going to lead your own personal fundraiser using the provided fundraising page and raise at least your minimum for one of our nonprofit partners OR a cause of your choice. We will be here to support you through the entire journey!
Don't wait. Sign up and start fundraising now!
After the event, we donate a percentage of the charity bib funds to the organization of your choice and the rest goes towards supporting the communities we run in! Find out more information about distribution rates and the charity bib program here.
