ABOUT THE RACE:  "THAT WAS HARDER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE!" - This is the most common comment heard from finishers of the RSMC and PA 50K and 20Miler trail races! The course is a challenging and gnarly one in Raccoon Creek State Park, Pennsylvania.   There is a 5k run/hike as well and those participants can FUNDRAISE also!  

MISSION and PURPOSE:  We are a Veteran Community Care organization that forms enduring relationships with veterans and military service members through time and adventurous activity in God’s creation, helping them refresh resilience through new life habits, finding purpose and helping them move from isolation to community .  

REGISTRATION:  Your registration makes you part of the OUTDOOR IMMERSION TEAM as we support our veteran and military service members. WE ARE HOPING THAT YOU WILL TAKE ANOTHER STEP as a FUNDRAISER for the outdoor adventure, recreation and fitness programs we provide. Will you be a SUPER HERO and START A FUNDRAISER too? SUPER SIMPLE and you will be that Super Hero that helps Outdoor Immersion help our veteran and military neighbors!  We need heroes like you who appreciate the sacrifices made by our veterans, military service members and their families that have served our country and the cause of liberty around the world.   We are looking for heroes  who want to serve by running in the beauty of Creation, or volunteering to assist us in carrying out this mission. Resilience of body, mind, and spirit are needed no matter your position in life AND WE CAN REALLY USE YOUR HELP!

CUSTOM BIB DEADLINE!

Sunday, October 25. Register before the deadline to get a custom race bib with your name on it.

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are as follows:

• 18 and under
• 19-29
• 30-40
• 41-50
• 51-60
• 61-70
• 71+

RACE ROUTES:

• 5k and 1 Mile is an out and back, and appropriate for walkers or runners. There is one water station halfway through the race for the 5k. 
• 50K and 20 Miler routes are primarily single-track with a wide variety of challenging terrain, rock and roots as well as some thigh-burning hills. There are five aid stations and ham radio tracking of participants. 
• All four races will begin and end at the Recreation Hall. 

RACE DAY DETAILS:

Packet pickup details will be forthcoming but will be at the Recreation Hall at Raccoon Creek State Park. (The address for Raccoon Creek State Park is 3000 State Route 18, Hookstown, PA 15050, which will take you to the park office. Pull onto that road and follow Cabin Road back towards the left to the Rec Hall.) 
Race day festivities will include a presentation of Colors, performance of the National Anthem and stories from local veterans. Post-race hospitality will be held inside and outside of the Recreation Hall.
