From the Organizer
The Turkey Day Trail Trot course is one of our favorites on the east side of Battle Creek Regional Park. A few challenging hills on a 5k double loop course. Runners will run clockwise on the outer loop and counter clockwise on the inner loop. 3K kids run starts with the 5K runners then they get to take the short cut to the finish. All runners receive a custom printed long sleeve Turkey Day Trail Trot shirt.
Be prepared for a mix of paved trail and off-pavement cross country ski trails including a dash of Mother Nature in the mix, could be warm and sunny then again, it has snowed early. The terrain is generally rolling and would not be described as flat.

This race spans more than one sport — here’s a guide to each, so you can understand what’s involved and decide if it’s the right fit. For course distances, logistics, and race-day specifics, always defer to the race organizer’s event page.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
Running off-road — dirt, singletrack, and mountain paths — from 5Ks to ultras. The terrain, not the pace, is the whole point.
