Tommy’s Trot is a running race on October 24, 2026 in Hollis, NH, with an entry fee of $20.
From the Organizer
Please join us on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 (RAIN DATE 10/25) at the Nichols Field Track for a KIDS' FUN RUN to support four-year-old Tommy Lafontaine in his fight against leukemia. This is a family-friendly, community-oriented event! ALL REGISTRATION FEES WILL BENEFIT THE LAFONTAINE FAMILY.
**FAMILIES WITH 2-4 CHILDREN PARTICIPATING IN THE FUN RUN** PLEASE SELECT 'SIBLING DISCOUNT' AT REGISTRATION FOR A SIBLING DISCOUNT. PLEASE NOTE THAT WITH THIS OPTION ALL TRANSACTIONS MUST BE DONE AT ONCE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE DISCOUNTED RATE.
While the race is designed for children between the ages of 3 and 12, younger and older siblings who do not fall within the age brackets are strongly encouraged to attend! In addition to the fun run, there will be lawn games, snacks, face painting, a bake sale, raffle, and much more to honor Tommy as we celebrate his upcoming fifth birthday! Parents, grandparents, friends, and family will have the opportunity to walk donation-based laps after the race is over to show Tommy their love and support.
The fun and excitement continues while runners and spectators enjoy a special viewing of a vintage Stearman biplane flyby above Nichols Field during the event. Stop by our raffle booth and enter to win an experience with Operation High Flight. A lucky raffle winner will have the opportunity to climb into the open cockpit of a vintage Stearman biplane (that you will schedule upon winning) for an unforgettable flyby over Hollis, Brookline, and the surrounding area, wind in your face, radial engine roaring, and the pure joy of soaring like the pilots who trained in those legendary trainers during the Second World War! This is just one of the many impressive raffle items to expect at the event!
RACE INFO: Tommy’s Trot is an entirely off-road event that will take place on the Nichols Field gravel track for children ages 3-12. For safety and support purposes, there will be waved starts (five total) beginning with the younger kids. Parents with young children participating in the event may walk or run alongside their child on the grass, and ALL registered runners should cheer one another on from the grass while it is not their turn to run.
THERE WILL BE RACE T SHIRTS, PIZZA, DONUTS, and APPLE CIDER for REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS!
