From the Organizer
We hope that you will join us at Boyle County High School on Thanksgiving morning, November 26th, 2026 at 8:00am for the LARGEST RACE IN DANVILLE KY, the 5th Annual Titletown Turkey Trot in memory of Deangelo Durham. This will be a competitive event but also family friendly event and runners, walkers, kids, strollers and pets are all welcome and encouraged to join us! If you have someone that isn't running we want them there to help us cheer on everyone participating. Bring the whole family!
We will be having two events, the first event will be the 1 mile Gobble Wobble geared toward those that want to hang out and take it easy and have a nice short walk or jog. The second event will be the 5K which will be chip timed by Race Rise and will have awards for overall and age groups. All participants will receive a Titletown Turkey Trot branded long sleeve shirt and a commemorative finishers medal.
This event has been a huge success in the past four years and continues to grow every year with over 345 runners in 2025. This event is a fun way for the community to continue to remember and support Deangelo Durham through a scholarship program for his two children. If you didn't have the pleasure of knowing Deangelo (Bid D), he was a wonderful person in the Danville community who will never be forgotten and he passed away way to early at the age of 38. D passed away Friday November 22nd, 2024, just days before the 3rd annual Titletown Turkey Trot. We have since named this race in his memory and will use this race as a way to remember him.
