Tiger Tri 2026-2027 is a triathlon race on October 18, 2026 – February 7, 2027 in Columbia, MO, with entry fees from $15 to $35.
Welcome to the 4th annual Tiger Tri put on by the University of Missouri (Mizzou) Triathlon Club! Relays will be hosted in the fall on Sunday, October 18th. The normal Tiger Tri will be hosted in the spring on Sunday February 7th. Both will be at the Mizzou Rec 1000 Rollins St, Columbia, MO 65203.
Doors to the Mizzou Rec will open at 11:00 AM for athletes to check in and warm up in the pool. Heats will start at 12:00 PM and go every hour. There is no set time that you must show up by, but there will be a meeting 15 minutes before each swim start on the pool deck so plan accordingly with your heat time. Heat assignments will go out a few days before the race. Lockers and space for athletes backpacks will be provided. After each leg there will be ~10 mins gaps before the next leg starts in order to provide athletes time to change clothes. There will be awards given out for top finishers for each gender in each category.
The swim is long course(50m) and swimmers will split lanes. The swim will start off the wall and will not include any diving.
The bike is 10 miles on our stationary bikes. Athletes will be allowed to clip into spin bikes with SPD (mountain bike) clips if they choose. SPD-SL clips will not work with our bikes. Towels will be available to dry off sweat.
The run is 10 laps outside on the Stankowski Track. In the case that the conditions outside are not good, the run will be done on the indoor track instead.
The fall relays are not USAT sanctioned, but the spring triathlon is USAT sanctioned. For the spring triathlon, one can purchase a one day membership when registering.
For collegiate athletes, the spring triathlon will qualify one for nationals, but will not score any points.

Three sports, one race — swim, bike, run in sequence, with transitions that are a discipline of their own.
Open water, open roads, and competition with yourself. Cross the finish line knowing what it took to get there.
Swim, bike, run — back to back. The sprint distance makes it far more accessible than most people think. Three sports in one race means three movements to train and race day never gets monotonous.
