The JAM 5K Run/Walk at East Pete Day

Fast, level 5K run & walk course, through residential East Petersburg. Begins and ends at East Petersburg Fire Hall located on Pine St. one block east of Manheim Pike (Main St. Rt 72) and one block north of State St. (Rt 722).

Medals for top finishers in each age group.

5K Run medals to top three in each gender age group. Prize money for top three overall winners in male/female groups is $200/100/50.

Walk up registrations, including bib & Tshirt pickup, accepted Friday 5:30-8p and starting at 7a at the Community Building on Pine Street (directly across from the East Pete Fire Company).

NEW THIS YEAR! The East Pete Community Day 5K is supporting the Joy Among Mourning (JAM) Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and joy to those experiencing loss.

JAM was established in memory of Andrew Wagner, a Hempfield High School graduate whose life was tragically cut short in an automobile accident on July 18, 2010. In Andrew’s honor, his family is committed to keeping his memory alive by bringing people together to create moments of joy, laughter, and connection while giving back to those in need.

Andrew had a unique gift for brightening the lives of others. He was always smiling, joking, and making people feel welcome. Through this event, we strive to carry forward that same spirit of joy and community.

The East Pete Day 5K helps transform grief into purpose by bringing people together and raising funds for causes that are meaningful to Andrew’s family and our community.

Proceeds will benefit:

1. Hempfield High School graduates pursuing higher education

2. The Dravet Syndrome Foundation

3. 521 Club, Inc.
