Summit to Solstice 10 Miler is a running race on September 23 – December 22, 2027 in Zirconia, NC, with an entry fee of $60.
Where mountain views meet lakeside charm
Run the vetted ten-mile route: start with one quarter-mile lap around Tuxedo Park, run the full loop around Lake Summit counter-clockwise, then come straight back into Tuxedo Park to finish at the pavilion by the bathrooms. Run it on any day from the first day of fall to the first day of winter. Record it on Strava, submit your result, and we mail your finisher medal to your door, plus custom race socks for the first 100 registrants. Ten dollars of every entry goes to the Upstate Giving Series.
Packed dirt road is an underrated running surface — softer than asphalt, faster and more predictable than trail — and ten miles of it around a mountain lake on a cool fall morning is close to ideal conditions for a strong, even effort. The route is simple: a quarter-mile lap around Tuxedo Park, one counter-clockwise loop around Lake Summit, and straight back into the park to finish at the pavilion. There is nothing technical to think about, which leaves you free to think about the lake.
Run it on your own schedule, record it on Strava, and submit your result. Your finisher medal comes in the mail (the first 100 registrants also get custom race socks), and $10 of every entry goes to local nonprofits through the Upstate Giving Series. Chase the course KOM or QOM on Strava and race for age group prizes against everyone who runs it this season.
