Samaritan Counseling Center World Mental Health Day 5k is a running race on October 10, 2026 in Farmington, MI.
From the Organizer
Please join Samaritan Counseling Center in our quest to make mental health care more accessible for our community!
This World Mental Health Day, October 10, 2026, consider pledging your miles and/or donations to the SCC Client Assistance Fund through participating in this event. You can run your favorite route at home alongside many others who care about this worthy cause! We will have virtual time-keeping and check-ins for the virtual event, and each donation will come with an event T-shirt.
About the Cause: Samaritan Counseling Center's Client Assistance Fund (CAF) makes high-quality therapeutic care accessible to clients who would otherwise not be able to afford it. CAF clients have no mental health insurance or are underinsured, qualify based on proof of income, and pay a minimal copay based on income and family size. The CAF is funded by private contributors (https://www.sccmich.org/donations) and by center fundraising such as this event. Due to limited funding, CAF assistance is currently limited to 20 sessions per client per calendar year.
