Race for Reading 5k & Fun Run 2026 is a running race on November 14, 2026 in Tippecanoe, IN, with entry fees from $15 to $25.
From the Organizer
This is a timed 5K run/walk at Potawatomi Wildlife Park in Tippecanoe, IN. The course goes through parts of the park including a nice wooded area and prairie. This year, once again, we are partnering with the park for their fall fest. In addition to the run there will be fun activities and food.
5K: Awards will be given for the top male/female finisher overall as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group.
Age Groups for 5K: 15 & under, 16-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55+
Fun Run: Awards will be given to the top 3 girls and top 3 boys. :)
The proceeds of the race will be divided between our Young Author's Conference (YAC) and our scholarships. This year our author will be Gordan Korman, a very popular children's author traveling from Long Island. He has written over 100 books for children and young adults. Our scholarships are awarded to one high school recipient and one continuing education recipient. If you are interested in more details for either of these please ask one of our members on race day.
*T-shirt guarantee through November 3rd, 2026.
*5K will start right after the Fun Run is over, approximately at 5:00 p.m.
*Race Day registration fee for 5K $25 without a T-shirt guarantee.
*Race Day registration for Fun Run $15 without a T-shirt guarantee.
Thank you for running this year and supporting our programs! Be awesome! Read books! :)
