Join us for a fun-filled Cocoa 5K to benefit New Foundations Home for Children!

We welcome and encourage all participants. Whether your goal is to race for first place or to enjoy time with friends or family, we would love to have you join in to support the children and families of New Foundations!

RACE DAY DETAILS DATE Saturday, February 6, 2027 LOCATION Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center (ball fields) 3027 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Anderson, SC 29625 PACKET PICKUP Race day, starting at 8:15 AM. WEATHER Rain or shine; may be canceled in the event of severe weather PARKING Parking is available at the ball fields. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your start to park and check in, follow any posted signs or volunteers, and carpool if you can. THE EVENTS 9:00 AM Cocoa 5K Timed event on mostly paved paths. Virtual Option Virtual 5K. RACE MORNING TIMELINE 8:15 AM Check-in and packet pickup open; race-day registration open on your phone until the start 8:45 AM Pre-race announcements and course briefing 9:00 AM Cocoa 5K starts 9:55 AM Awards (results are live on the race page as runners finish) 10:15 AM Course closes COURSE

The course is a timed event covering mostly paved paths throughout the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center complex.

This event is rain or shine but may be canceled in the event of severe weather.

Based in Anderson, New Foundations was founded in 1974 and serves foster and at-risk children and families throughout South Carolina. New Foundations offers in-home family preservation services, foster home services, and residential services, all to help children and families heal from trauma and other mental health challenges.

New Foundations is a nationally accredited, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We are committed to securing the future for children and families, whatever it takes!
