Downtown Houma, Louisiana
May the 4th – Louisiana brings Star Wars fandom and Cajun flair together to support local high school band programs. Now celebrating our 7th year, the festival returns with a full day of music, food, costumes, and community fun—including headliner Shorts in December!

Join us for the Kessel Run 5K as we take on the night with a glow-filled race through Downtown Houma. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or enjoying the course with friends, runners and walkers of all skill levels are welcome. Costumes encouraged!
Every registration supports our mission of helping local high school band students through grants and resources.
Registration & Race Shirts
Early bird registration: December 1, 2026–February 2, 2027 — $30
Regular registration: Beginning February 3, 2027 — $35
Register by April 15, 2027, to guarantee your race T-shirt.
Come early and enjoy the festival’s Roux Wars cook-off, Wookiee Calling Contest, costume competitions, local vendors, and live music featuring Shorts in December.
