SwimRun is a continuous race that alternates open-water swimming and running across a series of segments — you swim in your shoes and run in your wetsuit, carrying your gear the whole way. Many events are raced in pairs.
With no transitions and a course that pinballs between water and land, it's one of the most adventurous formats in endurance sport — often set along wild shorelines and islands.
