Start Time: 9 am on Thanksgiving Morning.
Open/flexible start line! Start the 5K run/walk any time between 9:00 and 9:10am. Faster runners line up in the front. The starting line area is wide. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line. Start your race when you are ready. Timing does not start until you cross the timing mats!
Parking: The Lansing Community College parking ramp will be open and available for parking again this year! There is ample free parking in the Lansing Community College ramp. After the race you are able to exit the ramp before the last runner has finished. We encourage parking in the ramp, it's an easy in and out. Volunteers will guide you in and out.
SHIRTS ARE STILL AVALIABLE IN ALL SIZES
Entry Fee: $30 until November 19th Shirt is guaranteed - $35 November 20th to November 26th Shirts available while supplies last
Family Discount: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3/person (10% discount). Valid only until November 19th, valid only for the in-person 5k run/walk event.
Be sure to preregister. There is no race day registration.
Packet pick up: At Playmakers, Tuesday 11/24 and Wednesday 11/25 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (both days). Packet pick up will be at the Playmakers community center. The Playmakers store is located at 2299 West Grand River Ave. Okemos, MI 48864. You are able to pick up packets for family and friends on their behalf. We encourage picking up your packet at Playmakers to avoid long lines on race day morning. Race day packet pickup will begin at 7:30 am at Lansing Community College in the Gannon building, first floor.
Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site.
Age Group Awards: Medals to top 3 in age groups: 10 & under, 11-12 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+
Overall Awards: Medal and $50 Playmakers gift certificate to Male and Female: Overall, Master (Over 40), Grand Master (Over 50)
Awards will be available race day at the awards table starting at 9:45 am. The awards table will be outside located near the Finish.
Proceeds from the race go to support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, and Youth Running Clubs through the Michigan Running Foundation grant program.
Virtual Lansing Turkey Trot: If you can't make the race and still want to participate sign up for the virtual race and we will mail out a shirt and bib to you! Run your virtual race any time from November 22 to November 30. Cost is $35 and includes shipping. There are no awards for the virtual event. Registration for the virtual event closes on November 19th. Packets will be mailed out the week of November 23rd.
No-shows to the race will forfeit their t-shirt, no exceptions
