Support Cool's Legacy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, in our efforts to raise money for suicide awareness and prevention.
Join us for the 5K or Fun Run and then stick around for a post-race celebration with food, beer, and activities.
Net proceeds of the Kilometers and Kegs for Suicide Prevention 5K and Fun Run will be donated to organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, JB27, and Operation Second Chance, that advocate for research and education around suicide as well as provide support for those impacted by suicide.

We are excited to offer an option for participants to choose a fun run/walk event.
Strollers are welcome to participate in the Fun Run/Walk.
5K
Timed event, not USATF-certified. The race will start and end at the event complex. A portion of the run will be on the Thurmont Trolley Trail, a paved trail that was installed over the former trolley tracks that serviced the town in the 1900's.

5K runners 21+ will receive one complimentary Uncle Dirty's Brew Works beer and one complimentary Bollinger's meal as well as a commemorative glass. Photo ID required - no exceptions!
(No outside alcohol and alcohol may not be taken outside our fenced celebration area.)
5K runners under 21 will receive one complementary non-alcoholic drink and Bollinger's meal as well as a commemorative glass.
Fun Run Runners will receive a complimentary hot dog, non-alcoholic drink, and commemorative cup.
All runners and guests will have the option to purchase food from Bollinger's at the event.
All runners and guests 21+ will have the option to purchase beer from Uncle Dirty's Brew Works at the event.
Please drink responsibly.
The post-race celebration will also include activities for kids and adults - bounce house, 50/50 and raffle baskets for the adults. We invite you to stay for the fun!

Hydration
Cupped water will be available at stops along the race. Bottled water will be available at the finish line. If you need hydration before the race, please bring it with you.
Parking
The Carnival Grounds has ample parking onsite.
Policies:
The event is rain or shine (within reason). Should the weather pose a significant safety risk, it may be canceled at the discretion of the Race Directory and Town of Thurmont municipal and emergency officials. Sorry, no refunds.
Dogs, bicycles, and skates are not allowed on the course.
Strollers are permitted.
