Kid Powered Fun Run is a running race on August 22, 2026 in Burlington, VT.
From the Organizer
RunVermont is excited to partner with Burlington Electric Department for the Kid Powered Fun Run as part of the Net Zero Energy Festival! Together, we're celebrating the power of movement, healthy communities, and a more sustainable future. What better way to honor a net zero celebration than with kids creating their own energy on the run?
This FREE, fun run is designed for children of all abilities to get moving and be part of an exciting community event. After the run, stick around to enjoy an afternoon packed with family-friendly festival fun, including games, kids' activities, electric vehicles and e-bikes, fossil fuel-free food trucks, interactive exhibits, raffles, and more. It's the perfect way to celebrate active living, clean energy, and community all in one place.
The Kid Powered Fun Run is free to participate in, but registration for youth is required. Parents/guardians are allowed to join their youth runner and do not need to register, but must start from the back of the pack.
Fun Run Info: The course is a .35 mile loop on the bike path. Youth participants will have an option to complete one, two, or three loops. Participants will be within view of a course monitor and/or their parents/guardians for the entirety of the run.
Bib pickup will begin at the RunVermont tent at noon. Race-day registration will be available.
Vermont's weather can be highly variable. In order to provide a safe experience, this event is subject to cancellation. Please stay up to date with any emails we send out and communication from Burlington Electric Department.
