The 2026 Hawaii Kai Ultra Run will be held on December 19 & 20, 2026 (Saturday & Sunday); the weekend after the Honolulu Marathon (12/13/2026).
The CHECK-IN and START/FINISH is at Kalama Valley Park located at 555 Kealahou St. in Hawaii Kai near Sandy Beach.
Street PARKING where available along Kealahou St.
BUS ROUTE #23 stops at Bus Stop ID #288 across from the Check-In tent at Kealahou St. and Mokuhano St. For more information, please visit the The Bus website at: https://www.thebus.org
Choose your distance: Half Marathon, 30K, Marathon, 50K, 50 Miles, 100K or 100 Miles.
The Hawaii Kai Ultra Run KV route is a 3.34-mile loop (3 loops is 10 miles). The Start/Finish is in the middle of the loop. From the start, runners head mauka on Kealahou St. until the turnaround at Kealahou St. and Ipuai St. Runners then head makai on Kealahou St. towards Sandy Beach and turnaround before Kalaniana'ole Hwy to return back towards the Start/Finish tent to complete a loop. Turnaround points will be clearly marked with cones and signs.

If you enjoy running with your peers, we are offering Corral selections with set wave start times*. The following wave selections may be made when registering:
Saturday, 12/19/2026 - 6am Wave
Saturday, 12/19/2026 - 7pm Wave
Sunday, 12/20/2026 - 6am Wave
*Note:
1) This event is a 50 States Marathon Club qualifier and will count towards your totals.
2) Completing a 50-mile, 100K or 100-mile HKUR run will qualify you to enter any HURT race.
You must use a "wave start" option to certify timing for either of these races.
Or you can simply show up and sign in with your own start time at the start/finish tent for all distances. Start Saturday (3AM or after) or Sunday (most people start between 3AM and 7AM on Saturday morning.) You must start before noon on Saturday and remain on the course to be eligible for no cutoff time. ALL DISTANCES MUST BE STARTED BY NOON ON SUNDAY, 12/20/2026 UNLESS ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE RACE DIRECTOR IN ADVANCE.
IMPORTANT: If you are planning to arrive early in the morning (before sunrise), please be quiet. The route is in a residential neighborhood, and many residents are still sleeping. Mahalo in advance!

This is a Show Up and Sign In event with no packet pick up.
HYDRATION: Water, ice and snacks will also be provided at the Start/Finish tent.
Please consider bringing a reusable water receptacle to reduce waste / litter. HKUR is committed to reducing it's impact on the environment so this will be a "cupless" event.
RESTROOMS: Public restrooms are available 24 hours at the Start/Finish tent.
CERTIFICATES/SHIRTS:
Certificates, medals, and stickers will be awarded to all registered finishers. HKUR 2026 Finisher shirts will be available for purchase for $25 at time of registration by 11/18/2026. A LIMITED SUPPLY OF HKUR SHIRTS MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON RACE DAY (not guaranteed). NO SHOWS will forfeit all Finisher branded materials.
