Gather your ghouls, goblins, and most spooktacular friends and family for the Halloween Hustle® 5K and Kid’s Dash! Get into the Halloween spirit and join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026 in Palatine for a frightfully fun race day filled with costumes, candy, and festive fall fun. Don’t miss one of Palatine’s favorite Halloween traditions!

• KIDS START: 8:30 AM
• 5K Start: 9:00 AM

PRE-RACE PACKET PICK-UP

• LOCATION: Dick Pond Athletics (Hoffman Estates)
• DATE: Friday, October 23, 2026
• TIMES: 12-6 PM

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP

• LOCATION: Adrenaline Special Events - Under the White Tents
• DATE: Saturday, October 24, 2026
• TIMES: 7:30 - 8:45 AM

*If you are unable to attend Packet Pickup on the Friday before the race, you can pick it up on Race Day for a FEE. There is a $10.00 fee per packet, per paid participant that you can pay during registration or cash day-of. To avoid paying this fee, please attend Packet Pickup in person the day prior.

PACKET SHIPPING

Make your life easier and skip the lines! All you need to do is choose the packet shipping option during registration and we will have your race packet shipped directly to your front door for only $15.95! Your packet includes your race shirt, bib, and more! If you opt for packet shipping during registration, there is no requirement to attend packet pick up. Packet shipping is a convenient option for those with tight schedules. Please be sure to verify your mailing address during the registration process, as we are not responsible for misdirected packets. We will close packet mailing two weeks before the race, so be sure to sign up early! Packets will be shipped out the Monday before the race.

We’re proud to announce The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palatine as the beneficiary of the race.

AWARDS

The Top Three (3) Overall will receive an award along with each Top Three Male & Female Finishers in each age group. Age groups are as follows: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 and over. Race Director reserves the right to combine age groups.

Awards ceremony will begin at approximately 10AM at Tap House Grill!

TIMING

The Halloween Hustle 5K is an officially timed event using the disposable B-Tag timing system. Timing chips are attached directly to the back of your bib number and are to remain adhered for the duration of the event.

STROLLERS, DOGS, AND WALKERS

• Strollers are allowed, but we ask that you start in the back and stay to the side to let runners and walkers pass if need be. 
• While we LOVE your fur babies, we ask that they stay at home.
• We love our walkers in the 5k! Walkers, runners, joggers are all welcome!

REFUNDS

Since the Halloween Hustle has many upfront costs, we have a strict and uniform policy of no refunds or exchanges, no person-to-person transfer, or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various holiday festivities and situations arise, but, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of a subjective line of who should receive a refund and who doesn’t. All purchases and sales are 100% final, no exceptions. Refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

The 2026 Virtual Halloween Hustle® is a 3.1 mile race at your choice of location, any duration of time, during the designated dates of October 24th-31st, 2025. Run by yourself or with a group, just get out and have a fun time!

Time: Any day. Any Time. (October 24th-31st)

How it Works:

• Register for the Virtual Halloween Hustle® 5K Race (Domestic Only)
• You will receive your swag (shirt, bib and medal) in the mail after you register depending on when you registered.
• Run/Walk your race during the designated dates (Oct. 24-31).
• Upon completion, wear your finisher medal proud!
• Submit your Name, Date of Completion, and Time
• Enjoy the satisfaction of your success and being a part of the Halloween Hustle!
