From the Organizer
This is a celebration of everything that makes Norwood a true gem! Join us as we celebrate our community and raise money to improve Norwood parks.
Since our inception eight years ago, the Gem of the Highlands 5K has donated more than $90,000 in race proceeds. The new basketball courts at Waterworks Park and the dog park at Upper Millcrest Park have received the majority of our funding, but smaller donations have been made to cover mulch, grass seed and other general needs at five Norwood parks in beautification efforts.
As a completely volunteer-led organization, we will continue to focus our proceeds and donations on improving Norwood parks again this year. Just as important, we believe we created an event that residents and businesses can unite around with civic pride!
