Emerald City Open is a running race on October 10, 2026 in Seattle, WA, with entry fees from $5 to $20.
From the Organizer
Emerald City Open was started by the UW in 1989. In the mid-1990s, with the advent of the Sundodger Classic, Seattle University was given the meet to host. Club Northwest started helping SU in 1997, and took over in 2017. Since then, we’re proud to continue providing a competitive early-season cross country meet in Seattle, for both collegiate and postcollegiate teams!
The course is located at Lower Woodland Park in Seattle, WA. There is one 2000m loop run three times for the 6k and four for the 8k. The start line is in the grassy clearing, approximately here.
The meet is free to Club Northwest members. You can enter as a team or as an individual; we will publish all individual results with team affiliations. Open individuals will be charged $20 and teams will be charged $200. A team is considered a single-gendered group of 5-12 participants; teams larger than 12 will be charged an extra $20 per participant. The Community 2k is $5, and open to kids and adults.
Packet pickup will be available at the tent at the start/finish lines. At pickup time, we will ask you to declare your team and scratch any non-competing runners.
