Join us for the inaugural Dori Bee Teal Run 5K on Saturday, February 27, 2027, at Washington-Marion High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Held in memory of Doris “Dori Bee” Blanchard, this family-friendly community event is presented by the Dori Bee Scholarship Foundation. We bring our community together through physical activity, community involvement, brain aneurysm awareness, stroke prevention, neurological health, and educational opportunity.
Net proceeds support the foundation’s scholarships, mentoring, leadership development, and educational opportunities for deserving students pursuing higher education.

- Virtual 5K Run/Walk — participate February 27–March 31, 2027. Registration remains open through March 31, 2027, at 11:59 PM CDT.
Registration & Race Shirts
The current 5K entry is $35; the 1-Mile Memorial Walk and Kids Run are $20 each, plus applicable signup fees. Prices increase to $40 for the 5K and $25 for the walk and Kids Run after December 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM CST. Virtual 5K registration is $20, plus applicable signup fees. A second price increase takes effect February 6, 2027: $45 for the 5K and $30 for the walk and Kids Run, plus applicable signup fees. In-person registration closes February 24, 2027, at 11:59 PM CST. Virtual registration closes March 31, 2027, at 11:59 PM CDT. See each event’s registration details for the full pricing schedule.
Registered in-person participants receive a race shirt. Register by February 5, 2027, to guarantee your selected shirt size. Registrations after that date are welcome, but selected shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
Virtual registration does not include a race shirt. Virtual participants may purchase a shirt with shipping as an optional add-on during registration. No local pickup option is available for virtual participants.
A Community Day with Purpose
Runners, walkers, students, families, virtual participants, and community supporters are welcome. The day includes community partners and vendors, health and wellness information, music, fellowship, and family fun.
Come run, walk, participate virtually, volunteer, donate, sponsor, or cheer with us as we honor Doris, raise awareness, support education, and strengthen our community.
