Dirty Petersburg Gravel Ride is a gravel race on November 15, 2026 in Petersburg, IL.
The Dirty Petersburg is back for it's 9th edition. Meet at Hand of Fate Brewing in Petersburg, IL at 10:00am for either a 30, 40 or 50+ mile gravel ride.
We will announce routes soon, but have been landing on a similar one the last few years that seems to work well. These were last years, they might change, so check a week or so before for updates:

After the ride meet back at the brewery, for some drinks and food. Bring money, it's not included in the registration fee.
Few details:
Park around the square in Petersburg, but not directly in front of the Brewery.
Ride starts at 10am. Roll over to the front of the brewery for a photo.
This route is not marked. Load the route, print them out or follow someone. There are no markings on the road.
These are open roads, be respectful of traffic, although there usually isn’t much. Watch for cars, stay to the right, don’t be a jerk and wear a helmet. We don’t have much permission for this other than asking the brewery if we can hang out after. Be cool.
There is plenty of parking around the square and on the streets close to the brewery, please do not park in front of the brewery so their regulars have access. You work out, you can walk a block after. There are some gas stations and even a Casey’s close for bathrooms.
There will probably be a cooler drop, but no sag support. Carry all you need to change a flat or whatever else you need.
It's too far out for a forecast, so here's what weather on this date is normally like in the area. A race day forecast will replace this as race week approaches.

Gravel riding takes you off the pavement and onto mixed terrain — dirt roads, packed gravel, and everything in between — for a cycling experience that's more adventure than race.
The community is famously welcoming, the scenery is usually worth it, and finishing feels like you actually went somewhere.
Off-road cycling on mixed terrain — pavement, gravel, dirt — for miles. Enjoy the outdoor adventure and welcoming community.
