Date, Time, & Place: Saturday December 12th at 8:00am. The 15K will begin at 8:00 am at Morningside Park and will finish at Bearden Elementary. The 4-Miler will start 8:30 am in Tyson Park and finish at Bearden Elementary. All registration and post-race activity takes place at Bearden Elementary School.
Course Description and Highlights: This event highlights the City of Knoxville and its fantastic greenway system. The entirety of the route is on greenways: Morningside Park --> Neyland Greenway --> Third Creek Greenway --> Tyson Park --> Third Creek Greenway --> Bearden Greenway
Transportation to Start: Transportation to both start lines: Buses will run from Bearden Elementary to the start lines beginning at 6:30am. Participants who choose to park at Morningside Park or Tyson Park, KTC is NOT providing transportation after the event. Buses will be dismissed after the last bus leaves Bearden Elementary/KAEC. Please note that it is very important to arrive early to catch the bus from the registration/finish line to the start line. Participants missing the bus will need to provide their own transportation to the start line and will need transportation back after the event to pick up their vehicle.
Registration & Entry Fees:
15k/4-mile Early registration is May 25 - June 30 for $35 for 15k, $25 for 4-mile. Registration is June 1-Oct 30 for $40, $30 for 4-mile. Late Registration is Nov 1 - Dec 12 for $45, $35 for 4-mile. Race day registration fee is $50 for 15k, $40 for the 4-mile. No t-shirt – deduct $5 anytime. Race day registration is from 6:00 -7:30 a.m. at Bearden Elementary.
Race-Day Packet Pickup will begin at 6am from Bearden Elementary.
T-shirts: Unisex sizing - Anyone registering after December 1 will receive shirts while supplies last. The shirt order will be placed on December 1 and when the inventory runs out in the RunSignUp system, there will be no more shirts. No re-orders.
Awards: Awards for 15k and 4-mile to the top 3 Overall male/female/open, top Masters (As defined by fastest person age 40 and above, not limited to 40-49) Grandmasters (As defined by fastest person age 50 and above, not limited to 50-59), Senior Grandmasters (As defined by fastest person age 60 and above, not limited to 60-69) male and female. Awards to the top 2 in each age group as well as top 2 Clydesdale (men over 200 lbs.) and top 2 Athena (Women over 150 lbs.) Age Divisions will be in 5 year increments (three deep). Overall winners not eligible for age division awards. Awards must be picked up during the awards ceremony. Age division awards will not be mailed. There is no cash prize for this event.
Grand Prix Points: 2026 Grand Prix points awarded for both 15k and 4-mile. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix awards, you must be a member of the KTC and you must volunteer for at least 3 events.
Refreshments: Refreshments provided for participants at Bearden Elementary School. Water stops & gel: Tyson Park and the Corner of Sutherland/greenway at UT Rec Field.
Results: Complete results will be available on the KTC Website at www.ktc.org.
Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The 15K course closes in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
