Kick off the Christmas season with family and friends at Ardmore Regional Park’s most festive, unique running event! Race through the magical Festival of Lights at dusk and enjoy a fun evening filled with holiday spirit, community, and cheer.
Kids 12 and under will start with Charlie the Chigger at the inflatable start line, run ¼ mile out, and return ¼ mile to the festive finish line.
Dress up in holiday attire or a fun costume!
A great way for young runners to feel like part of the big race!
Race under the sparkling Christmas lights on a paved out-and-back 5K course!

We're excited to welcome back Girls on the Run for the their Fall 2026 Celebratory 5K!
This special event highlights the achievements of the GOTR participants and their Running Buddies.
Open to Girls on the Run families and supporters.

Proceeds from the Chigger Chase go directly to Ardmore Regional Park, funding projects like the refreshed main entrance, new pickleball courts and restrooms, and low-cost community programs. This year's funds will support programming, improvements, and splash pad planning – ensuring Ardmore Regional Park remains a vibrant space for everyone to enjoy!

Packets will be available on Friday, Nov. 13th from 3-6pm at The Clubhouse (2705 N Rockford Rd).
Race Day Packet Pickup will also be available from 3pm until registration closes at 4:15pm.
