Join us on Thanksgiving morning for a family-friendly 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk on the Gorge Trail in Cazenovia, NY. Courses are out-and-back on a gravel converted rail-trail.
Race Setup:
- Professional Chip Timing
- Separate courses and staggered start times for 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. (Start location is the same for both.)
Race Fees: Pre-registration is highly recommended. Final day to pre-register is Tuesday, November 25 at 5 pm.
- $22 for CPF Members
- $27 for Non Members (to become a CPF member, go to cazpreservation.org/membership)
- $35 for day-of-race registrations for all runners/walkers ages 13 and up.
- Kids aged 12 and under are FREE.
Race Day Details
- 8:00-9:00 am: Pick up Race Bibs at check-in table.
- 9:30 am: 5K Race Start (north-bound on the Gorge Trail).
- 9:40 am: 1-mile Fun Run/Walk Start (south-bound on the Gorge Trail).
- 10:15 am: Prizes awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category (Men, Women, and Youth).
- Costumes are encouraged! Wear your favorite Turkey Trot garb.
- We will be collecting non-perishable food for Caz Cares. Please bring a canned food donation.
- There are no bathroom facilities at the trail head. Please take care of business before you arrive.
- NO DOGS OR STROLLERS PERMITTED ON THE TRAIL DURING THE RACE.

- Please use Burton Street to access parking at Burton Street Elementary School, 37 Burton Street, Cazenovia, NY.
- The Clark Street bridge will be closed from 8 - 11 a.m.
