From the Organizer
We are back at Lake Park for our sixteenth year and excited for the chance to support Buddy Baseball, the incredible organization that provides kids with special needs the opportunity to play ball! If you are local, you can participate in our in-person race, and we also offer a virtual option to allow people from all over the country to participate. So sign up today and refer your friends and family. Referrals can even lead to registration rebates!
The Buddy Run is put on by Congregation Beth Am Tampa and benefits Buddy Baseball, a non-competitive recreational league for boys and girls with special needs based in Temple Terrace, FL. Each player is paired with a “Buddy” to assist the player as needed. The league fosters friendships and breaks down barriers. Buddy Baseball is an opportunity like no other for children with special needs. Not only do the players experience the thrill of participating, they also get to experience team play and camaraderie. The Buddy Run is the largest fundraiser of Buddy Baseball and helps keep participant costs affordable for all.
