From the Organizer
The Big Apple Triathlon, presented by Alpha Win Racing, is taking place on the West Side of Manhattan on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Athletes will have the opportunity to swim off the historic banks of the Hudson River and finish triumphantly in the heart of Central Park. The Big Apple Triathlon offers one of the most visually stunning and logistically unique race backdrops in the US, set against the world's most iconic cityscape.
The race caters to a broad spectrum of athletes with four distinct formats: Sprint Triathlon (1500m swim / 12.4mi bike / 2.5mi run), Olympic Triathlon (1500m / 24.8mi / 6.2mi), and Aquabike options at both distances — plus relay divisions for teams.
Whether participants are chasing a first-ever finish line or a new PR, there's a distance for them in the Big Apple Tri. The Big Apple Triathlon is sanctioned by USAT and welcomes para-athletes, triathlon clubs, and first timers alike — even offering a beginner's guide for those new to the sport. Registration is already open for the event.

Three sports, one race — swim, bike, run in sequence, with transitions that are a discipline of their own.
Open water, open roads, and competition with yourself. Cross the finish line knowing what it took to get there.
Swim, bike, run — back to back. The sprint distance makes it far more accessible than most people think.
