Join the Anna Maria Elementary PTO at Coquina beach for a family friendly fun run or 5K.
A BEACH FUN RUN AND 5K for all ages and fitness levels - Benefiting Anna Maria Elementary School PTO.
Open to everyone! You don’t need to be an AME family to participate!
All the fun starts at 9 am on Oct 10th!
The fun run is approximately 1 km, untimed, and will be on the path under the shaded trees just prior to the 5k. This event is not intended for competition, but joy and fun. All ages are welcome and the path is stroller-friendly! Parents (or other responsible adults) can run free with their child. Walk, jog, run, skip, or dance along with others in our community. Prizes for best costume(s) and maybe other fun awards!
The 5K run will include chip-timed bibs, and the route is along both the beach and the paths. This race is for those who want to compete amongst other racers and/or against themselves (a perfect place to set your personal best time!), or who want a longer duration run/walk than the fun run. Please let those who are competing line up closest to the starting line.
Finisher medal and race t-shirt included for each participant registered before Oct 2nd 2026 (We can only guarantee t-shirts and medals for participants who register on or before Oct 2nd 2026. Limited extras may be available at the event on a first-come, first-served basis).
There will be signage and volunteers along the route, however children under 10 are encouraged to have a registered adult run with them.
Order of events:
7:30-8:30 am: Raceday registration/packet pick up
9:00 am: National Anthem
9:05 am: Warm up led by Reed Physical Therapy
9:15 am: Fun run begins
9:30 am: 5K begin
10:45 am: Cool down led by TBD
Immediately following cooldown: Fun Run and 5k awards presentations
