33RD Annual
33rd Annual Crisis Services of North Alabama Turkey Trot 5k is a running race on November 26, 2026 in Huntsville, AL.
From the Organizer
33 years. Thousands of families. One Thanksgiving morning tradition that keeps growing.
Join Crisis Services of North Alabama on November 26 for the 33rd Annual Turkey Trot 5K. Run, walk, stroll, or trot a USA Track and Field certified course with your people before the pie. It's the same route used for the Huntsville Track Club Twilight Run.
Turkey Trot is fun, festive, and family-friendly. Every registration helps Crisis Services provide crisis counseling, emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence, advocacy, forensic exams, safety planning, and resource connections at no cost.
Kids ages 5 and under can join the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot, a 100-yard dash at 9:00 a.m. with Tina Turkey, our hilariously huge turkey mascot.
No advance registration needed. No cost to participate. Just show up and have fun!
Weather: We will only cancel the race if conditions create a safety risk for participants. If the race is canceled, there will be no rescheduling or refunds, and your registration will be considered a contribution to our mission.
Timing: RunningLane times the race using a chip in your bib. Your time begins when you cross the starting line.
New This Year -- Wave Starts: Turkey Trot keeps growing. Last year more than 3,000 of you showed up, and we expect an even bigger crowd this Thanksgiving. To keep the start line safe and the course flowing, we're adding wave starts this year. Runners will head out in groups a few minutes apart, based on your pace. It means less crowding at the start, a smoother run for everyone, and more room to enjoy the morning.
We'll share wave details and start times closer to race day, so keep an eye on your email and the race page.

Race Day, November 26
Spragins Hall. Bib pickup begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:45 a.m.
Race t-shirts are first come, first served. We hand them out during bib pickup while supplies last.
When you pick a shirt size during registration, that helps us estimate how many to order. It does not reserve a shirt or a specific size for you.
Turkey Trot is a fundraiser, so we order carefully to put as much as possible toward our mission. That means we can't guarantee a shirt for every registrant, even if you sign up early.
Grab yours early at bib pickup for the best shot at your size.
Have questions about parking, strollers, dogs, packet pickup, awards, the Tiny Tot dash, or race-day details? See the full FAQ and race information at csna.org/turkeytrot.
Special thanks to Fleet Feet, our race partner. From planning to race day, they help make Turkey Trot possible. We are grateful for their generosity and for the work they put into this Thanksgiving tradition.
Crisis Services of North Alabama shows up for people in our community on their hardest days. Last year, we answered 16,790 calls on the HELPline, provided emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence, and supported survivors of sexual assault through forensic exams and advocacy. All of it is available at no cost to the people who need it.
When you sign up for Turkey Trot, you help keep that support going all year long.
