START THE YEAR OFF RIGHT!
Join Us for our New Year's Day RESOLUTION 5K and 1 mile run.
at the BEACH -24th Street Park, Virginia Beach (1 mile 9:15 - 5k 10:00 AM)
COURSE: This is a 1 mile and 5k out-and-back course on the boardwalk starting at 24th street with the turnaround point at 17th street for the mile and 2nd street for the 5k. Both races finish back at 24th street.
FLUIDS AND FOOD: There will be 1 aid station with water at the 5k turnaround point.
AMENITIES & POST-RACE. All registered runners for the 5k and mile will receive a finisher medal and custom race sweatshirt.
PACKET PICKUPs:
Early Packet Pickup: Running Etc. in Virginia Beach Wednesday December 30th 4pm-6pm AND Thursday December 31st 1pm-3pm.
Race Day Packet Pickup will be from 8:00 to 9:45 on Race Day at the 24th Street Park Stage.
TIME LIMITS: The 5k race starts at 10 AM and will close at Noon. Walkers may arrange an early start or self-time after 10:00am
POST RACE PARTY: After Party at Murphy's Irish Pub (subject to change)
AWARDS:
5K Race: Top 3 OVERALL Male and Female, Top 3 MASTERS Male and Female, and Top 3 Male and Female in age groups (12 & Under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70+ will receive awards! Top 3 Walkers Male and Female will also receive awards.
1 Mile: Top 3 OVERAL Male and Female, Top 3 Male and Female in age groups (6 & Under, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, 13 & Over) will receive awards.
REGISTRATION: No RACE DAY Registration.
STRIDER PLUS/LEGACY RUNNERS: Strider Plus members MUST register. Discount automatically applied at checkout.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS: A Club membership discount of $5.00 is available up thru Race Registration closure. Discounts are automatically applied on the payment page during registration. You should use the account you used to register for the club to apply for this discount. We will also attempt to match on name/date of birth.
Paper entry forms not available.
Strollers are permitted.
