This page explains how to delete your account in Endurance Grid: Train Together, the mobile app from Endurance Grid, Inc., and what happens to your data when you do. The same account is used on endurancegrid.com, so deleting it removes it from both.
Delete in the app
Open the app and go to My Grid. Tap your name at the top to open Settings, then tap Manage Account, then Delete Your Account.
You can answer one optional question or skip it. Then type DELETE to confirm and tap Delete my account. Your account is deleted as soon as you confirm, and it cannot be restored.
If you subscribe to Remove Ads, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it first in your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or Apple or Google will keep charging you.
Request deletion by email
If you can’t use the app, email hello@endurancegrid.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on the request. A deletion we make this way removes the same data as deleting in the app, and we’ll confirm by email once it’s done.
On the website
The website doesn’t have a delete option. Use the app or email us as described above.
What gets deleted
- Your account and your sign-in, including every email address on the account.
- Your profile, including your name, city, state, favorite sports, and your athlete profile page and its photos if you have one.
- Every workout you’ve logged, and the photos attached to them.
- Links between your workouts and the workouts of people you trained with. They keep their own workouts.
- Your Remove Ads subscription status.
- Your weekly plans, and your saved races and paces.
- Your group memberships and your reactions to posts.
- Your notifications, your notification settings, and your devices’ push tokens.
- Any group you started that no one else joined.
- Your email list subscription. Every address on your account is unsubscribed.
- The app’s analytics records for your account. We ask our analytics provider to delete them.
What stays
- Posts and comments you wrote in a group, and photos you posted directly to a group, stay in that group, so other members don’t lose a conversation they were part of. Your name comes off them, and they show as from “Deleted Athlete.” Group goals you created stay in the group the same way.
- Messages you sent in a direct message stay in that conversation for the other person. Your name comes off them, and they show as from “Deleted Athlete.”
- A group you started that has other members stays, and passes to the member who joined it first after you.
- Your Find Your Sport quiz answers are kept for research, with your account and email address removed from them.
- If you answer the optional question when you delete, we keep that answer.
- Records of your purchases kept by Apple, Google, and our subscription service provider, under their own policies.
- Information that has already been combined or de-identified so it no longer identifies you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Our database backups are kept for 14 days. A copy of your data can remain in them until they expire.
You can delete things you’ve added in the app without deleting your account, including workouts and their photos, posts and replies in your groups, messages you sent in a direct message, and saved races and pace plans. Open the item, or press and hold it, and choose Delete or Remove. You can also leave a group at any time, and a group’s owner can delete it.
