July 4th 2026 at 8 am in Livingston MT, the Yellowstone Running Club brings you the 3rd annual "Yellowstone Independence Day 5k" run/walk fundraiser! We were amazed by the 2025 turnout and we are ready to do it again and hope you will join us! Updated route, t-shirts, chip timing, and lots of raffle prizes and fun fun fun!

The third annual Yellowstone Independence Day 5k fun run/walk promises to be bigger and better than ever! All proceeds to benefit the Yellowstone Running Club mission to support wellness through running/walking and the greater Park County youth cross country team attendance at regional championship races.
Sign up by June 20 to guarantee you receive a t-shirt! Early bird pricing available through June 30!
Race starts at the historic Sacajawea Park located next to the Yellowstone River in Livingston, MT.
Wear your most patriotic attire and decorate your strollers for a chance to win a special prize. All runners will be entered in for fun raffle prizes and snacks will be provided post race!
Top 3 male and top 3 female runners in three age groups (0-12, 13-18, 19+) will recieve a medal.
This race will be chip timed compliments of Muddy Dog Sports!
Mountain Berry Bowls of Livingston will be on site with acai berry bowls for purchase! Grab a bowl and enjoy breakfast by the river.
We love dogs and we love running with our furry friends. However, dogs are not allowed in Sacajawea Park per the City of Livingston.
5K starts at 8:00 a.m.
Online Registration will end at 9 pm July 3 but same day registration is available 7:15-7:45 at the start line (payment by cash, paypal or check).
Sign up in advance by June 30 and save money!
Price increases to $40 starting July 1, 2026. Kids prices do not increase.
7:15 a.m.-7:45 a.m. on Thursday July 4th at Sacajawea Park New Picnic Shelter on the NORTH side of the park.
Water and light snacks will be provided after the race. A water aid station will be available approximately halfway through the course
Thank you for being part of our second annual 5k race. This is a FUN run with all proceeds from this event going to help support our area youth running team attendance at regional cross country championships this fall and further the Yellowstone Running Club mission to promote running/walking in our area.

Yellowstone Running Club is committed to promoting running/walking for people of all ages in the Park County and surrounding areas. It supports youth runners from our area wanting to attend regional and national cross country running competitions. This year YRC plans to help area youth runners attend the Nike Regional Cross Country Championship in Idaho. Through fun runs and fun-draising we work to promote wellness through running/walking in the greater Park County area!
