The Wapack Wilderness Trail Race is a demanding 18-mile out-and-back course, starting at Windblown Ski Area in New Ipswich, NH to the Watatic Mountain Reservation parking lot in Ashburnham, MA and back again. This technical trail race features rugged, steep sections and uneven terrain, so prior trail running experience is strongly recommended. Expect breathtaking views, forested single track, and a true test of skill and endurance.
Please note- There is a time cut off of 3 hours (time of day 11:30 am) to reach the turnaround point Mt Watatic. All runners who do not make this cutoff will be disqualified and responsible for their transportation if needed.
This race is put on by Running For A Cause. A portion of the proceeds from this race go to the Running For A Cause Community Outreach Fund, supporting both our local charitable initiatives and the ongoing maintenance of the trails we love. Learn more about this organization here.
