100% of proceeds will be donated to Boston Children’s Hospital Pain Clinic in honor of the Race Directors 24 year old daughter, Sadie Rose, who has suffers from Chronic Nerve Pain, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Eosinophilic disorder.

After a very emotional day I told Sadie’s Doctor I would raise One Million Dollars for Boston Children’s Hospital(BCH) Pain Clinic for everything they have done and continue doing. The question is how am I going to do that. So we created a race for every ability...the 0.0 Road Race held at the Wachusett Brew Yard. Our first year in 2018 was sold out and again in 2019.Every year since Runners(?)come by the hundreds to not run. The 2026 Wachusett Brew Yard 0.0 Road Race will be held Saturday, September 19th, 2026.

Our daughter Sadie Rose has been to the hospital over 500 times, including two ambulance ride and countless emergency rooms visits. In June 2018 she had surgery to remove some nerves in her abdomen and some cartilage on her ribs. In December 2018 she had a surgery that had some complications that put her back in the hospital for a couple nights. January 2019 she had her nerves cut in the back of her head, (the occipital nerve). This would relieve the continuous migraine headaches. A controversial surgery but that seems to be the norm for Sadie.

During the pandemic years Sadie spent more than 60 days in the hospitaI and a trip to the ER when she got Covid. Since a very young age Sadie has gone to to Boston Children's Hospital.(BCH) All Sadie has ever known is that she always needs to go to the hospital. She rarely if ever complained as she knows it was the best place to be for the care that she needs. Sadie is so well known that it’s very common that a doctor, nurse or anesthesiologist will come to visit and say “Hi’ while she is at BCH.

A fund has been set up at BCH called the Pediatric Interventional Pain Service Fund. This means every penny I raise now goes directly to Sadie’s Doctor, Pradeep Dinakar at BCH Pain Clinic. Doctor Dinakar is behind everything and has been hands down the most compassionate doctor we have ever met. He has set up a fund, which is no easy task to get done. We know that research is the only way to have clinical trials and eventually cures. Sadie’s last three surgeries were not done 7 years ago as there was not enough research to back them up and now there is. 100% of our funds raised will go towards research under his direction. This fund was set up due to the endless support we received from beautiful people like you and a patient, Sadie Rose, who is fearless!!! This is Sadie’s fund and will help children who suffer from the same disorders Sadie has.

BIG NEWS!!! Sadie Graduated from Lesley University with a Bachelors Degree in Science. She will being furthering her education this fall studying Art Therapy. She miss a lot of school from 1-12th grade and a couple of semesters while at college due to her illness. But she never ever gave up and trust me it wasn't all smiles. Like the Boston Children Hospital mantra Sadie is Stronger-Tougher-Braver

Sincerely,
Michael Doherty, Race Organizer and Sadie's Dad
