Join us for the 7th Annual Trail of Honor 5K & Fun Run on May 22nd in Fort Gibson!
The Fort Gibson American Legion and Trail of Honor Flags will host this special event on Memorial Day weekend.
Trail of Honor Flags Inc. was founded in 2019 to build on the work of dedicated American Legion volunteers who have placed temporary flags along Highway 62 and Wiley Rd leading to the National Memorial Cemetery. The goal is to make this display permanent by installing 300 flagpoles, each flying a 5x8 American flag.
Runners will have the option to carry an American flag during the race. You will be asked during registration — simply select “Yes” if you’d like to participate in this meaningful tribute.
By joining this event, you’ll help fund the permanent Trail of Honor while honoring our veterans and active-duty service members as you run through an amazing road lined with flags.
This event has grown every year since 2019, and our goal this year is to reach 500 runners. Whether you’re a returning participant or joining us for the first time, thank you for your support!
