From the Organizer
Bring your friends and family and come join us for a FAST, EASY, and FUN one mile walk/run hosted by the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club. The 5th Annual Wimpy Mile on Feb 14th, 2026, is an iconic event, boasting a 178' DROP in elevation from start to finish.
Starting from Hancock Park in downtown Dahlonega, the certified mile course moves downhill along Wimpy Mill Rd to finish at the Yahoola Creek kayak launch area. The race provides a great opportunity for serious runners to achieve a PR...and a fun, scenic course for joggers, walkers, families, and your four-legged friends as well.
Come in costume if you'd like, to celebrate the February holidays!
Join us back at Hancock Park after the race for the awards presentation and other festivities. Transportation will be available for participants who choose not to walk the return mile.
A $1,000 prize sponsored by Rotarian David Robertson will be awarded to the first registered runner to finish in under four minutes!
