From the Organizer
You'll have it made in the shade at this fun event celebrating summer in the heart of Des Moines! The Sunglass Run 5K starts at the beautiful Lauridsen Amphitheater and takes participants on a scenic route around Gray's Lake, one of the city's most popular outdoor destinations. This family-friendly event features a 5K run/walk followed by a kids run, making it a perfect morning for participants of all ages.
All 5K participants will receive a finisher medal and a pair of Goodr sunglasses! Designed to keep you looking cool while staying active, Goodr sunglasses are a favorite among runners and outdoor enthusiasts. Rather than selecting from a limited number of styles during registration, participants will choose their preferred pair from a larger selection at packet pickup on a first-come, first-served basis.
Don't need the sunglasses? No problem, you can opt out and save $12 on your registration. Participants can also add an event shirt for just $10.
Sign up today and enjoy a memorable run around Gray's Lake while helping us raise funds for our amazing charity partner, Head for the Cure!
